rev problem

just fitted the 1.3 in my car, its running of a 1.0 liter ecu and loom with 1.0 liter box, when its ticking over its fine, but then when you rev it from tick over it hesitates to rev but then rev's and drives normal, what could be causing the problem.?

could be worth cleaning the throttle body and the idle control valve
did you adjust the rev's idle screw after change?

do you mean its holding back/hesitating when you hit the throttle, or missfiring smiffy ?

R-REG-SR what would adjusting the idle screw make, should it be done,

advanced the timing to 1800rev at idle and the doesnt seem as bad

yes, if your timing is very retarded it,ll hesitate smiffy, you will probably need to reset the idle after tho eh

with the idle screw on the o/s/r corner of the t/b (been covered many times)

from drivers side of engine bay look at throttle body-----bottom left corner a black hexagon looking screw on throttle body is the idle adjust

shine a light their to help seeing the screw

and how do you no when its at the right adjustment.?

engine should be at normal operating tempreture-fan cuts in out at least once
if you dont have rev counter you should do it by ear- like a nice tick over idle sound

wel the fans run the hole time because i race it, it ticks over about 1800rpm and sounds fine
