Removing Rear Seats

Hey Guys

Most of the time when I drive my K11, its normally just me or 1 other person. I don't like people in the back of my car so decided to take the rear seats out.

If I take out everything to do with the rear seats (backrests, seat belts ect) what should the next step be. Do I need to tell insurance company that its a 2 seater? Will the car pass as M.O.T as a 2 seater?

One last question also, whats the best way to carpet it after the removal of the seats?

You'll have to update the log book and tell your insurance. It'll be fine through the MOT aswell, they just mark it down as a 2 seater.

When I had my rear seats removed it passed the MOT with an advisory saying rear seats missing lol

It was funny I looked at the advisory sheet and then the back of my car and started laughing

I put a false ply floor to level things out & bought black floor carpet from ebay 1500 x 1200 £14.00 delivered.
I have a K12 so I used the two front fixing locations to bolt a half height headboard/Bulkhead which I also carpeted.
An old dog guard, painted up & some copper pipe serves as a luggage grill.
