Remote On for Amplifier

Hi,

I have a suspected dodgy amp, How can i get it to turn on without a headunit? I have a stable 12v supply for it.

Loop the 12v supply into the remote turn-on connection....thats what should turn the amp on.

For test purposes you could split the 12v live to go to the remote and the +12v, the remote feed is just 12 volts which when live opens the constant 12v+ connection.

Yeah but it helps to say it in several ways, I understood the 1st one but the second one was even clearer for a beginner.

I got it, I'm no novice around electronics

I've figured out it's my head unit rather than my amp.

It's academic as when i get the focus it'll just power 2 GTO4 12" subs

But atleast i know
