Question to those with tinted rear lights...

Basically to you who have used tint spray to tint your rear lights:

Did you bother with lacquer?

Did it fail an MOT? (tho the reflecter still reflects light...)

dont no bout MOT as i did mine just after my MOT so i got 1 yr b4 it comes round again lol.

no i never used laquer i just bought the tint spray and away i went lol

Clean the lens thoroughly, then put light coates on, let them dry then if you want it darker add another coat!Mine are dark and passed an mot

Did a mates, you simply spary on the tint spray, don't lacquer, as for MOT, depends how dark you go, worse case is take a tin of paint stripper and some kitchen roll, should he say you're gonna fail cause of it you can wipe it off, make sure you don't get the stripper on the panels or leave on clusters too long.
