The answer was here Samantha....

Contact Ed on here Samantha, he sells an ECU which bypasses NATS. It should solve the whole NATS issue and that way you get to keep the car

In the end Ed ended up fixing the car, just via mckenziecz instead

I hope you don't feel cheated by me Sam. I think I took a huge risk by buying essentially non runner and £150 quid ecu without knowing its gonna cure the problem.
It is lovely car with loads of extras I never came acros but without the usual SR like abs, power steering or rear discs.
Less thinks to go wrong I quess.

ABS was an option without which no disks are fitted. It rare to have it, not rare not to.
