petrol light

Well i am never usualy down that low but it came on today just before i went to the garage.
What i was wondering was does anyone know roughly how many miles are left when it comes on???
It comes on when it is about half way down the red.
Its a 1.0

mine dont work, but my friend gets anywhere from between 20-30 miles after his light comes on depends how he drives tho

The reserve part of the tank is 5L IIRC, which is just over a gallon.

So you should get about 45 - 50 miles from that.

Only when it's warm, the car accelerates much better after 3500rpm

yeah i have noticed that about 4-6 is where it is most perky

On the 1 litre, you get a big lump (well, big in terms of what that engine gives) of torque around 3k to 4k (which is useful because your engine sits there around 60 and 70, so you can overtake), and then from there on, the horsepower gets a bit more.

You'll get that 40MPG if you drive carefully. But even with ragging it, you can get a decent mileage in these cars.
