As titled, cg10 pre facelift how do i remove the oil stem seal out of the head ?

Just pull out ?

I made a stem seal puller by attaching a heavy hammer to a needle nose locking pliers via a steel cable and pull out the seal. remove the remaining rubber bits left behind and then push the new ones in fully with a long socket.
