Oil pressure

Has anyone ever modified an ma engine's oil pump to give more pressure?

I'm asking because I notice I have about 1 bar at idle when warmed up but I have 4.5 bar when cold.Sometimes when the fan kicks in and the revs drop the pressure drops below 1bar which I'm not entirely happy with .

its not your pump,it will be your crank shells are worn,,,micra pump are very good

Main bearings?I checked them when I had it apart 40k kms ago and they seemed fine and its never missed an 5k kms oil change interval and only the best used,there's 121,000km on it now

thicker oil.

you can modify the oilpump to give more pressure! there is a spring which regulates the pressure. just put one or two washers in and the pressure will rise.

with hot oil and on idle oil pumps make hardly any pressure. My mates got an oil guage in his caddy and when its warm and idling i think he only gets like 10-15psi of oil pressure.
