need help an advice on lowering and wheels

im buying a 1999 micra k11 very soon as my first car, im a training mechanic so can get hold of most tools i need if i dont already have them, but im just wanting to know if i lower it by 35mm will the standard shocks fit ok.

also what the biggest size alloy you can go without the wheels scraping on full lock or when going over speed bumps, i want it to look nice but also be practical.

also how much does bigger wheels effect your speed dial if it does at all?

all your help an idea's would be highly apriciated

yep lowering by 35mm is fine on standard shocks.
15s i with low profile tyres is as big as you can go really without scrubing

bigger wheels have made my speedo more accurate as it underreads as standard.

cheers mate, i think ill try get some 14" alloys then as the standard ones on the car now are 13" steel.

any idea where i can get some good reasonable prices springs from online and also some 14" wheels?

35mm can be ran on standard shocks no problems bud.

Also i would also say 195/45/15" wheels will fit nicely on the micra.

I have put bigger 14" 7J wide wheels on my micra, originally i had the 13" sr alloys which i have taken off. There is a big difference, firstly the steering has got more heavier and secondly the car does not pull off as quick as it did when the smaller rims were on it to be honest.

Ebay and on here, there are some alloys for sale here in the classifieds, have a look.

Hope i have helped.

MICKA.
