My new Almera!

James

Chairman
Well as most of you know the Micra is away from me for quite some time now, for those of you that don't, don't ask, it's a long story, do a search lol.

So while it's away, I've decided to go with an Almera 1.4 Equation (yes I'm already an official member on the Almera Owners Club ;))

I have to say I'm not disappointed with it in the slightest! I'm pretty sure it handles better than my Micra did, and that was lowered, on 15" wheels with Toyo Proxes! For a 1.4 it's pretty quick off the mark. It's covered 95000 miles, with a full NISSAN service history up to 85k (Stamped and everything)!! 1 previous owner, not a rattle in the engine bay, uprated Kenwood speakers! Not a spot of rust, seats and carpet are immaculate. Very chuffed with it!

Now all I need are fully colour coded bumpers and mirrors, and electric windows and central locking

Here's (plenty) of pics...

Looks pretty smart. You going to spend much on it then, or wait till the micra comes back?

Not too much, just stuff that makes it look a bit more presentable hehe, colour coding is relatively cheap :)

Ooooo its a new one with the bubble shaped rear lights :)

Looks very tidy m8, plenty of room for modding under that bonnet though! Get a turbo on it ;)

Hehe I know, the engine bay looks empty with a GA14 in it... Also maybe not turbo the 14, apparantly they go bang on stock internals at 125bhp and remember this is a daily driver hehe

This is a nice car, I was the first MSC member to be taken for a ride in it!! :D

We tested the suspension by taking it down some dodgy road that would have probably destroyed my bodykit and it coped with it rather well!!

The car is quick off the Mark, My CG10 was having its nuts revved off it trying to keep up with James accelerating on our way back from Portsmouth!!

I'll agree that it's in immaculate condition!! And I think James is loving the use of the Radio/Cassette player lol

i learnt to drive in a 1.4 i thought it was a fantastic car and like you say pretty nippy had no problems on the motorway keeping up with the faster traffic, and the handling was pretty good! :)

That is correct, but with the added weight theyre probably about as quick as a standard 1.3 K11 lol

lol you'll be lucky, my corolla is around 115bhp and only slighty faster then a standard 1.3 k11

lol I think you maybe someway behind a 1.3 K11.

Kev

I wouldnt be so sure kev, the corrolla is fairly heavy I think.

yeah Ed, but when you calculate all the crap james leaves in his car, it'll outweigh... well... anything really.
