My conclusions on power increase for a 1.0

After spending an age reading some K11 blogs on increasing power from an NA engine, would i be right in thinking that this is the easiest way.

Cold air feed.
Performance exhaust and manifold. (with ctas that can be added for MOT)
Camshaft from the 1.3 engine.
Quality engine and gearbox oil with low friction additives.

This should give a 15-20BHP increase.Having said that the money the exhaust system would cost, may out do buying a 2nd hand 1.3 engine and dropping that in?

"Performance" exhaust systems are too expensive unless you can find 2nd hand..Have a word with Frank he may have a used modified manifold laying around..And EBB found a "standard" exhaust system that was not bad price & gave good results iirc..
So called performance air filter systems are too expensive too,EBB makes them from super cheap bass reflex funnels from sound shops with a bit of kitchen gauze..
As you say the oils are an easy & cheap one as are the spacers between the throttle body & manifold.
Other easy way is to dump some excess weight, spare wheel etc etc
