My clutch and gearbox thread - engine swap!

Rich, I'm actually in Waterlooville at the moment, although going into Portsmouth tonight for nightlife lol.

However, after speaking to a few people the topic of the driveshafts fitting on the new engine seem to be an issue - could you clarify this with me?

Also, how many miles has the engine done?

Hi, engine is from a 94 and has done 90k. The 1.3 has similar but different driveshafts. You will need 1.3 driveshafts to fit the gearbox, the hubs are the same. I could get over to the house tommorrow morning sometime if you want to have a look. Its only a short walk from your gf's house, with a pub on the way

The local scrap yard is just down the road. Would be happy to help you source some driveshafts. Lovedean.

Totally correct Frank. The gear linkage is different too. Such a shame the previous thread was deleted, I made a note of everything you would need. Gear linkage, drive shafts & gearbox mounts (which wernt in that link) ?

So how much extra would those bits equate to?
