Micra v Yaris

Ok fellas just wondering if you guys have had any experience of the Yaris. This year they have allowed the Toyota Yaris vvti 09-05 model to be in Class 1, after looking at the figures on the Parker site (i know these are not always accurate) the yaris pulls 11bhp more that than a Micra

Parker site says…...

Micra 53-54bhp
Yaris vvti 64bhp

Any thoughts?

Heavy how bud? the plating of the floor, yeah thats why they only allowed pre 2000 in

the running gear mate, they look like axles etc from a previa or something

just looking at auto-data.net 55kg seems to be the difference just hope thats not all in the interior still its not much for the bhp difference and the 0-60 stats

i can find micra 775 and the yaris 830kg now yours shows 810 yaris will still have the advantage tho eh?

the torque figure looks far better glen, so its probably quicker eh

yeah and in class 1 its about getting of that line first . Bit above my head but i did a power to weight ratio calculation online and there wasn't much difference

You'll keep up just fine I'm sure. They only make their peak hp whilst the vtc is active. You haven't got to wait for such things
