Your opinion on a 1000mile trip on a 1.0L or 1.3 auto yaris engine

in two months time, am coming over to purchase surely one, possibly two toyota yaris, the later model 05-2010 model. drive the cars overland circa 1200mile trip, with random intervals obviously for resting/sleeping. What's your opinion FROM EXPERIENCE on the engine's capability to withstand such trip?

Have already done the trip in an Avensis, but that's surely a different equation as it comes in a 2.2L diesel engine. Is it a definite no-no IYO?

Can't see why there would be a problem on such a new car.

Obviously check all fluid levels and make sure you don't cane it the whole way.

Should I do an oil-change at trip start? as I don't tend to trust 'service' by dealers, especially if I buy it off a dealer. I've bought the avensis from Stoke-on-Trent whereabouts, anywhere with lower price trends to look at?
