Micra k10 gearbox

Hi,(Y)
Got myself a k10 gearbox.
Been trying to identifye wether it's a 4 or 5 speed gearbox and what diff is fitted inside.
I've looked for the number stamped on the caseing under the clutch arm and it's stamped m4
I've search through the forums and I only found discussions of the S4 and S5
gearbox.

you will probably have to use the selector rod to check for a 5th gear (turn clockwise, against the spring, and see if it engages when pushing and pulling).
and from that you can determine the diff ratio (ie 3.8 = 4 speed, 3.6 = 5speed)

s4 is a 1.2 5 speed with a 3.8 diff
s5 is a 1.0 5 speed with a 4.0 diff
v4 is a 1.0 4 speed with a 3.8 diff
dont no were you get the 3.6 from,they never made one

haynes is wrong there was never a 3.5 diff made,,,,and that is from nissan
