hi guys thought id join up, new to this site but not the micras

have been signed up to micra.org.uk but thought id share with you my project build

this is the ultimate of budget builds, just me working with mrs and 2 kids doesnt leave any money for fun, but i get by through making stuff for the car and generally thinking twice before buying

as much as id love a monster slayer, funds wont allow so should hopefully see 120-130 kw

ive had two micras before, one was a white k11 super s

seen here

sold this like a twat to by a silvia, which i broke and had nothing for a while

then got this

which after trying the $50 paint job, it went wrong so ended up like this

and then this

and then..

fitted a cg13de

then i scrapped it as it was full of rust

now it leaves me to my final and current black one, the turboed edition

after scrapping the last one, i wanted one with more 'paint' ha ha

so what should i do? post the whole blog on here??

rebuilt the turbo was just the oil seals

Fitted a spare boot damper today to be used as a bonnet lifter, it's strong enough to hold it and at 2/3's up it lifts itself,

Remember I have a raised bonnet too before you go rushing off to the scrappys!

It's slightly fouling when closing, bit it does close, I think I need to grind off just a touch from the lifter bracket

There's a hole closest to the headlight which is where I used, the further up the panel towards bulk head you go the higher it lifts

Looks like a great little car. Something about the low black micras looks so nice.
What are the specs on the rims on your car? (im guessing 14x6 +0 ish?)

Hoping my red beast gets that stance when I get my coilovers and rims installed.
I know the feeling of breaking a Silvia too had a very clean s13 that I accidently killed.

Wheels are 13 x 7 et -6 ( I think)

My s13 was mainly stock , had big plans with no money

There were only 303 Super-S's sold here, and people probably tend to avoid black cars because of our climate.

You've had a few clean K11's Compared to a lot of the K11's coming out of the UK I like your style quite a bit. Looking good mate.

Finished off my air intake to turbo today

All that's left is oil return gasket then a test drive

Loads of cool air to come into here

And here's how it looks from the front

And gave here quick wash too, still need to get the rear quarter fixed up....one day

Here's current update

Have had major issues as of late with turbo and engine

Rebuilt turbo I thought was blown so bought another!! New turbo fine , yet more smoke!!

Then this happens whilst idling outside my house



So started removing block

And current situation

Picking up 47k cg13de auto lump Friday, have to remove it and fit it in mine in one day

I think to be honest it was a problem long time coming I may of killed it but tbh I didn't trust the engine to be fair
Hopefully all will be fine once new ones in
