K11 Micra - Stalling

Afternoon all!

Quick question, does anyone else get this issue. Each morning or evening, when my Micra has been standing still for a while I start the engine, reverse, pop the breaks on and all my exterior lights Dim and sometimes the vehicle stalls.

I'm thinking it's something to do with it being started from cold but I can't think of what else it could be?

erm, don't think there are any other issues at the moment! Oh actually, anyone got any advice on which product like redex to use? I know some are ####e and some are ok but I want to know what people here use!

it sounds like a possible ellectrical fault however check the following.

TB Solder guide (this is on Cisco's Micra site - google it )
HT leads - possible letting in moisture
Dizzy cap - remove the cap and give the contacts a good clean.
Fuel Filter - these need replacing every 2-3 years. If it hasn't been done replace it.
Battery - Check the water levels inside and top up if need be.
Alternator - the Battery might not be getting a full charge.

As for fuel adatives I've used both Redex and STP - both are good and gives the injectors a good clean.

maybe it's the idle adjustment screw needs increasing? cos when cold, the engine idles higher in that it doesn't stall. when engine warms up, the TB wax element lowers the idle speed until it stalls if not set correctly.

when the engines warm it should run bout 600rpm i think.

Sounds like a bad earth.

Or weak battery.
