K11 engine in to a K10?

Hi Guys and Girls

If I was to try and fit a 1300 16 valve K11 Micra engine with its 5 speed box in to my 1 litre K10 what kind of troubles am I likely to encounter on the way? Are there any mounting similarities?

it,ll probably take about a day to fit one ( hybrid o/s engine mount )
and about 2 weeks to wire the ecu/sensors/fuel pump etc

well as the K10 is a carb engine and the K11 is ECU that would be a small problem. You would need to fit the entire loom from the K11 including the ecu. I'd hazard a guess that the Gear linkage may need to be modified. If the engine is positioned properly you may be able to use the K11 drive shafts, I believe but don't quote me on it, that K11 outer CV Joints will work with K10 Hubs. I personally would align the engine with the hubs/wheels first, see where it sits and then see if any of the mounts can be used, if not make your own ones. It'll probably be easier to make custom mounts than custom drive shafts.

I wouldn't bother using the cg13 injection setup i would use the k10 ignition setup and the distributer off an early primera 1.6 carb modal and then run the cg13 on bike carbs
