K10 timing

I need to to know where the tdc mark is on the cam pully.

Here's the background. I think I need to do the timing because..... My car was being used as a trainer to teach someone to drive standard. The car had the crap revved out of it. Next thing it wouldnot idle you had to hold the gas on. So I thought that the ilde stop needed to be adjusted but I could only get wide open or nothing. Next I messed around with the air fuel mixture but then the car would idle and then go to screaming high rpm. I figured I then had a vaccum leak but all the vaccum pots and plungers seemed to be functioning allright the only minor defect was the choke plate was not moving as much as I would like for a start. So then I took off the top half of the carb and cleaned out all the jets ports and all those little fiddly bits.....and that did not work so now I look at the timing with a gun and it's out I think i have tried the distributer as well help!!!!!
