K10 Project! Start to Finish

Hello All!

So here's my story of my K10!

Its my first car!
Nissan Micra K10
5 Door
LS 1.0
1990
I'm 17, I have been driving it for 3-4 weeks now...
Now i know that as a "youngster" i have a right to "Pimp" Out my ride.
The acceleration and speed is fine for me! as i said I'm 17, if i had anything more powerful i would do damage to me and other people. So I'm NOT doing any mod to make it go "Faster"!

I just want it to look good... Get some "Street Cred" By the end i want to have a car that people will look at it and think "Wow, i want one of those"

Heres what i have to work with:

Great millage!!

No Head unit... No Speakers...
All the gubins work tho! thats an up!

So i've started a list for what I want to get to make it better!
And I will walk you through what I do to it!

I was hoping you lot would be able to help me out and give some idea on what I could do to make it look better! Remember, every little helps!!

Great to see a young driver with their head screwed on right!!

However, I'd steer clear of the E-bay cheap stuff!

My suggestions:
- New wheels
- Maybe lowered on springs and suspension
- Super S Steering Wheel
- Super S clusters with Rev Counter

It's better to save for the bigger changes, than little things that could make it tacky very quickly!
I'd show you mine, but it's a secret atm!

So, I'm not going to buy the fake Blow Off Valve... it sounds horrible!

now the only other problem i have is that I'm on a budget.
Being an apprentice i only get apprentice wages ( £2:50 An hour!! ) So that's why i have to stay cheap and cheerfull for the moment

I did want to get a revcounter!
If you guys could link me to some good products then it would come in great help !

I'm not sure on the rev counter tho ? Looks to tacky to me ?

To be honest dude, the best way to turn heads is to make it a minter. Wash and wax regular makes a difference. The number of times i've been asked to sell my k10's, and the first thing anybody says is always "that's clean". It doesn't matter how great a car looks, if it's paint is faded or hidden under a layer of grime it just kills the image.

Clean is king!!!

A good few hours of polishing make all the difference. (Y)

Hope you lot are doing okay ?

I managed to get a stereo sorted out!
I cound'nt stand driving with no music on !

I got it second hand at my local scrapy! £20!

And it moves out! EPPIICC!

It has a aux in so i can plug my iphone into it ! And is all ready for me to plug a sub in the back of it ! Shwweeet!

I also got a pair of 4" ripspeed speakers!

I fitted them in to pre cut holes in the door!

What do you think ??
I still want to get two 6x9's in the back tho!
two 4"s are just not loud enough for me !
I'm thinking about putting them in boxes in the boot ?
I would love to have them in the parcel shelf but im afraid people will see it and steal my car!!

Speakers with tweeters in the front, Sub in boot is fine.
when it comes to car audio its all about quality, not quantity. i learned this mistake myself!

I would dump those flash speaker grills and fit standard ones to hide the speakers, k11 pre-facelift covers fit perfectly and blend right in with the rest of the interior. Keep in mind that your k10 is a piece of cake to break into, i can even do it without bending the door, in less than 20secs. So as you say, keep it hidden and keep it safe. Blasting tunes everywhere you go just advertises your system so be careful about where you blast the volume.

I have read the comments! i still think i want 2 more speakers :/ and a under seat sub ?
I also want to install an alarm with central locking ? Like this one

Does anyone know what touch up colour paint I will need for the Micra ? I had a look in halfords, from what i red is nissan flame red ??
What are your thoughts on this ?

Nissan red 526, use white primer to make it pop in the sun.
