I want to fit a japense speedo cluster into my u.k 1.0 they cluster is pre-facelift and so is my car.
I want to know how i can fix the issue with fuel and temperature units? is it just re-wiring?

thanks for your replys, did do a search but didnt find anything.

I have fitted another jap cluster to my jap K11.
The fuel gauge only reads about 2/3 full when the tank is full to the top.
I suspect there is more than one spec fuel sender & gauge.

My interior loom was also missing the wire fro the rev counter, the computer plug had it but it stopped where the loom from the computer plug connects to the interior loom. Had to run another wire to the back of the cluster.

thats alright, so it works but just temp and fuel doesnt read properly

what did u do for plugs? did the original plugs fit straight in, if there were plugs to fit.

is the nz delivered model the same as the au delivered model?

plugs don't fit up, you have to chop and change, and guess. you will need the temp sensor for the coolant temp gauge to work from the car the dash came out of (jap spec sensor) and also the same for the fuel sender in the tank. fuel light will still work, which is weird. reason you need the sensors is because aus and uk spec cars use vdo parts (gauges) in them, jap spec cars use something else, i forget what brand it is. hope that kinda helps you.
