» CMF MemberHey,
This will probably sounds dodgy but I assure you it's not Is there a way to change the milage on the odometer of a cluster so if I grabbed a JDM one which had say, 80,000km for example, I could make it match what my current cluster has so I can pop it in and have it show the same mileage?
This sort of thing could be used for bad things if you could wind it back, but what i'm thinking (ingeniously) is to use a spare speedo cable, connect it do a drill (i.e. reverse of how it was done in matilda, lol) and drive it forward. Or I could do it like ferris bueller did.. but forwards! Though I can see myself spending a lot of money in fuel doing it that way (but i'd get great economy!)
I almost don't want to post this as it could give some dishonest people the wrong idea.
