sense of humour, something to puke into, lots of booze, car cleaning cloths, wellies, MEAT for the bbq. a chair, a large collection of porn..... erm..... films..... anything japaneseses.

your ticket,

half a banana and a barrel of chipmunks (optional)

Ha-ha, Stani, you're damn right:)
My 2 cents:
Sleeping bag, pillow, blanket, lodza wet wipes and a first aid kit packed with alka seltzer... Ah, a toolbox would be essenial too :)

chairs! enough people sitting on their passenger seat sinking into the grass last year! lol

if you forget anything theres a tesco round the corner

general camping equipment i.e plastic cup, bowl/plate and cutlery... camping chair... decent torch...fly repellant... toothbrush... sun cream etc.

sleeping equipment i.e tent, ground sheet, sleeping bag, couple of pillows and ear plugs (?) - or bring a quilt and a pillow and sleep in car :L

Photography equipment, beer, food or food money (shopping centre down the road!)

Toolbox, first aid kit, sunglasses also...

CAR CLEANING EQUIPMENT!!!! Bucket and sponge, microfibre cloths, clay kit, polish, wax, sealant, tyre dressing ETC! Everyone cleans their cars at the show, its a sin if you don't :p

sense of humour and a mixed taste in music, as there I've heard everything from classical, to Dubstep/ DNB played (<<< best for car events!)

I brung £150 with me last year, including tank of fuel to get home, buying beer and all my food

oh it the first time i will be going :) am i so excited, i hope uni doesnt mind that i miss friday :D
i was wondering would 200 quid be okay for the three day, but i will bring essenstials :) because i want to buy parts there if that is avaliable :)

200 is plenty unless you are planning on doing a spree at the trade stalls! but even then you're probably only going to be able to buy universal bits which shouldnt cost too much.

£200 is more than enough. Bear in mind, if you've paid for our BBQs that should keep you relatively full throughout the weekend, we also provide crisps and soft drinks too!

As others have iterated (may actually convert the final list into a sticky)

Essentials:
  • Tent
  • Cutlery / Cups / Bowls etc
  • Enough clothes to last 3 days of camping
  • Shower stuff (shampoo/shower gel etc)
(the on-site facilities are pretty good now)
  • CHAIR!!!! Every year we end up playing musical chairs because we don't have enough, please bring your own!
  • Torch (the trek to the toilets after dark is always a fun one!)
  • Sleeping bag (or failing that, a quilt and sheet)
  • Pillow(s) (I always forget this one!)
  • Cash for extra stuff (food, more beer, trade stand fund)
  • Toothbrush
  • Sun cream (hopefully)
Non-essentials but will make your life easier:
  • Toolbox to help Karl when he locks himself out of his car ;)
  • Cleaning products
  • Bucket + sponge
  • Roll mat, softer than the pretty hard ground
  • Sense of humour ;)
  • Camera to take pictures of Arnold when he's had a few too many (or me, depending on who's year it is to get too drunk!)
  • First aid kit
  • Beer/cider/alcohol (and the related ibuprofen/aspirin/paracetemol ;))
  • Sunglasses
Things you WON'T need to bring:
  • Dinner (if you paid for the BBQ)
  • Music for the evenings (PA will be provided and we do take requests, I should be providing Grooveshark with mobile internet access so that should cover almost anything)
  • A car that isn't Japanese ;)

so there are showers there ? because i was thinking 3 days with just baby wiper :) smelly and well need to bring atleast 3 or 4 crates of beer :D

Yeah there are plenty of showers there (from what I understand from hearsay, Wicksteed Park was able to afford to build a brand new shower block from the money JAE brought in when they first changed to the venue in 2009!)

But they're decent enough too, with hot water!

That's ringing a bell Will :). Off to Asda in a minute, must remember to see if they sell baseball caps...

Just a question. What do people do about charging phones etc. I know I can use cig lighter but it is not the best of charge for both phone and car?

We will have a generator and a multi-socket extension lead and we usually just let members use that to charge their phones, so you can just bring your AC adaptor. Will add that to the checklist!

Also: Please keep an eye on your phone while it's being charged, we've never had any problems with that sort of thing but just to re-iterate that it's your property and it's your responsibility to ensure it doesn't go walkabouts! :)
