Is wrong mileage on clocks a mot failer?

hi
i recently installed new clocks out of a SI into my twister, however the mileage is defferent, by a lot, my car had over 110000, whereas this 1 had 55000, was jus wondering if this wud result in my car failing its MOT as the mileage wud b different.
thanks
steve

Just swap back to the original clocks for MOT time. As long as the mileage is more than it was the previous year then there wouldnt be any suspicion.

But I dont think that it is an MOT failure. Someone else may confirm though.

No its not a failure.. but it may raise a few questions if you sell the car, easily explained though so don't worry about it..

Just jot down your original mileage on top of the 'new clocks' so it will just be a game of addition :p

no mines a facelift, so the milage is stored in the digitally in the screen, ive tryed taking the old screen out of the old one, but you cant

Its not an MOT failure (MOT tester here!)

Testers have to enter the displayed mileage on the car at the time of the test, even if the customer asks otherwise, even if they suspect the mileage to be incorrect.
