So, what is the story behind the Super Silhouette.
From what I understand it was built by NISMO for super pop star Masahiko "Matchy" Kondo in about 1982.
Here he is in all his glory -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbG-rOFbIvU

He was the mascot of the March advertising campaign and here he is in the car (judging by his name on the helmet and on the side of the car).

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

He has since had a successful career as both a driver and as team chief of KONDO Racing Team -

http://www.matchy.co.jp/

Here is his bio although last time I posted this the link did not pick up the last letter so you may have to do some work here -

And here he is at the March 25th Anniversary -

The next thing (I think :? ) we were discussing was trying to find information on the K10´s rally career.
Nakazoto, I believe it raced in the Group A less than 1600CC Group.
Per Eklund from Sweden drove one circa. 1988/1989 and I believe his best finish was in the Acropolis Rally when he finished 10th.
So lets see Per Eklund driving it like he stole it -

Lots more to follow and the forum is running much better now.
It is taking me a fraction of the time to re-post this but I really should go and do some work today.
See you later for more March Mayhem!

OK, on with the show....
Here are some more K10 brochures.
Images where gathered from various sites over time so they may be a bit muddled up and image quality does vary.

Some fun now.
I had a lot of these images saved in a file called Godzuki.
Do you guys remember Godzuki? He was the smaller sidekick of Godzilla.
So Godzilla is R32/33/34 Skyline GTR and Godzuki is March Super Turbo. There was another monster in between and his name was Pulsar GTiR -

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

He was an angry fellow running an SR20DET and 4WD.
K10 modifiers often modify Godzuki along these lines -

Just thought that would break up the old school brochure thread :D

I remember one of the earlier posts that went missing.

On the Micra Sports Club forum they have a dedicated sub forum for K10 Super Turbo´s -

http://www.micra.org.uk/forums/79-March-Superturbo-Forum

And in Japan there is the Double Charge Club -

Here are some more being driven in anger -

I am pretty sure this next one is a photoshop job but I love the look of this clean little K10 -

If I remembered where I got this photograph from I would have found out who did it and given him a mention here. If you know who it was let me know and I will edit and include his name.
Nice work :tu:
Thanks.

I was getting a bit concerned there about people thinking this was the mother of all thread-jacks as the original conversation between David and I was lost in the server switch.
I have checked on-line and it is difficult if not impossible to source any of this stuff. Where did all the K10 content go to? Guessing sites have fallen by the wayside and all this information and top photographs have been lost....
Until now!
OK, on with the show (episode 81264612).
I will post up some more brochures (um, still a few more to go) then we will go on a road trip with some nice folks. :D

Have collected these from various places over time so order may be wrong and quality of images varies a bit.
Also, apologies if some are double posts. It is getting hard for me to keep track!

Time for a road trip!
I stumbled across this comparatively recently. Definitely in the last year.
As far as I remember it was on a site that had nothing to do with cars.
It is a road trip by a group of K10 enthusiasts and I really wish I had saved all the photographs of where they went and the fun they got up to. Instead, I just saved a selection but that will have to do (still a lot of pics).
Wish I could remember where I got this from to name them all and give them a shout out.
I did however save two group photographs of the people involved so I am going to post them here.
If you are in one of the photographs, make yourself known and thank you for the road trip diary!
Here they are -

And I think this was one of their destinations (?) -

So, buckle-up. Here is their road trip -

Nakazoto, I know I have other photographs and information on the Super Turbo R on my old computer back home.
I have even been looking for you on line but I cannot find this information anymore. It will probably be next summer before I am back and can post these for you.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I am hoping that you and at least some of the other members here found these posts enjoyable.
I love original brochures and advertising material and I used to save pretty much anything on older Japanese cars. I have lots for other models as well (not just K10´s!) so if anybody is interested in something specific that you are having trouble finding let me know. I might be able to help.
Tried to get a Brochure and Advertising category started here on JNC but there was not enough interest. Maybe I am just weird....(no comment).

Now that this K10 stuff is posted I think I am going to leave it for a few days to make sure they stick then delete the lot from my hard drive. OK, maybe not all of them. I will probably save Matchy´s Super Silhouette images........Maybe the Super Turbo R images....... the "Safari" K10 image ...... oh, god. O.C.D.

I think that because I now live in a country of massive cars and roads that I am developing a little nostalgia for smaller Japanese cars. A K10 would not last five minutes out here due to "Death by Nissan Patrol" which is pretty common.

Nakazoto, you have got yourself a really cool and rare car and I am looking forward to your updates.
Hoping some other members start seeing even base model K10´s as possible project cars and they gain a following in the way Honda have for early Civic´s and Toyota for the Starlet.
Does not take much to make them look the business and almost limitless engine swap potential.
Posted this (photoshop?) image before but it makes the point -

Found all this on Japanese nostalgic car forum posted by a member called toolZ. He also emailed me a #### tonne more also :D

I want one of those proper micra roof racks but i bet they're non existent now. :(

Ryan cut and flared his arches.

I just added camber to mine to get my wheels under the standard arch
