immobiliser help please

its not for a micra, but my dads kia, one day it started playing up and at times wont let the car start. its like you have to open the central locking, get in, n press it again so it will let the car start. me dad needs a replacement forbe, but kia is bummed by it, so anyone know a place that can make em up using the codes from my dads to make a new one?

i no this sounds complex but ive explained the best i can lol, cheers loads guys!

My wifes Kia did the same, Kia were no help so we just had the immobiliser removed, what model is it ?

its a 1998 kia mentor 1.5 gls

Its the same as the wifes, she's got a '98 1.6 glx, go to your local Kia dealer and get a wiring diagram, uninstall the immobiliser or bypass it,.

ill tell him sonic mate, cheers, any idea how to remove it? if i just take it out, ill it not stay on n not let the car start at all or will it be ok? cheers again mate!

I dont know how to remove it, I took it to an alarm fitter when I had a new alarm fitted, he removed it.
