i have two questions

1, can i use caliper paint to paint my rocker cover?

2, how easy is it to remove the rocker cover?

Didn't Splank use it on his motor when use 3 met?

I masked off the engine bay and used high heat spray paint which gave a more even finish.

you could use caliper paint but it wud give it a kinda rough look because it would be brushed on as opposed to spraying on as goldstar did! It can be done but wouldnt look too neat as you would see the brush marks - speaking from experience.

The cam cover is pretty easy to remove, just progressively loosen thescrews otherwise there is a danger that you will round the heads and have to drill them out. Haynes makes this all easy

y do u want to use caliper paint? it doesnt have to be heat proof

jus cleen up,prime, colour, and laquer,,,,i did mine with spray also ,just ask hughes16v,,he has it now

i want the paint to last more than 6 months :) hence asking about caliper paint - it came to me when i was looking for some on Ebay - "hey why not do your rocker cover!"....

thats wot im trying to tell this guy,,because you get a better finish than the caliper paint,,

I do cam covers occasionally on an exhange basis if your interested.
