Gearbox

right so. i dont believe its my clutch thats gone because of the fact it selects gear perfectly/ apart from 3rd :glare: it engages but will not disengage

so maybe one of you lovely people can inform me wether it is indeed the clutch?
or if i need a new box!?

cars a micra sgl 1 litre 1986 if that helps

mine did that and it was the clutch, but could also be the gearbox, only way to check is to adjust the clutch or fit a new one and see if the problem persists, then yourll definately know wether it needs a new gearbox.

Check the cable and selector arm maybe? See if there's any play in the cable on the arm when disengaged it should be fairly tight
