Gearbox

Hi

This is going to be hard to describe but anyway. I parked the car after driving it and put it from 3rd into 1st (when the engine is off and clutch in) the gear feels "odd"! The gear "stick" feels very loose and is quite almost a tap sound when it goes into any gear much different from before. I havent done anything out of the ordinary just seems strainge why it feels like this??

Support rubbers? If you look under the car where the gear stick goes into the floor, you will see 2 rubbers or something, check they are not snapped...

Im a k10 person so not sure about the k11 set-up underneth so might not be rubbers...

P.S. the gearbox is fine when moving no particular gear is crunching or anything.

Probably is the rubbers. Can you push the gearstick up and down?

i can push it down but not much about 1cm. is this a big problem?

When they've completely gone, the gearstick will drop through the floor lol. You should get under there and have a look

Ok is it 2 rubbers where abouts are they? are they near the gear box or linkages?

yes apologoies for that.

I havent checked the rubbers yet be the weekend. I've also discovered it likes to crunch the gears. its happened twice now 4th and 2nd gears i pretty sure it not me could, this be connected.
