Been doing research tonight about the ga16 tb and other mods.
This is for the rally car which already has the following mods :-
- Grp A airbox
- Grp A tubular ex. Manifold and system
- GA16 Black Side injectors
Question is i think the stock tb, is playing up a bit occasional hesitation or misfire. So i thinking of instead of either repairing the stock tb or a new one, why not go the GA16 route.
So as i understand it the GA16 tb will fit but needs the idle control valve removing and can be set up to run remotely, which would be good as often with night stages the alternator is under high load with lots of spots, fans running etc... Would i need to do splicing of connectors wires etc ?
Also the GA16 ecu will fit, car is non-nats and is a plug and play swap ?
After all this is it worth it ? Obviously it will be a bigger tb dia which should flow more air.
