Frenchy's RotBox Corner

I find myself welding up lots and lots of micras.

Here's one I was doing today.

Prefacelift 3 door 1.0 in white.

First, cut out the rot. Then make a card template and transfer to steel. Bend and shape.

Then weld in the new piece.

I forgot to take a photo of the nex5 template, But it was one piece of steel. Welded in, flapped back.

Etch primer next. Notice the Bolero lights the owner has installed.

I've already patched the other heater dropout as it was nowhere near as rotted as this one. Sill is next, but theres 3 other holes to sort. 1 in floor under drivers seat, 1 in driver side rear arch and then the obligatory rotted seatbelt mount.

Drivers floorpan.

Weld and primer. Seam sealer is horrible stuff when it's 20+ years old.
