Fitting A Bumper - Answers ASAP

Got a bumper from a 'M' (sorry cant work out year) to fit onto my 1999 'T'. Was told it should fit on fine.

Its at a garage now and theyve just rang to say they are having difficulties fitting it. Surely it should fit on with little problems? I mean if you lot can get corsa etc bumpers to fit, a slightly diff model micra one should it no bother.

Any ideas guys?

No - the T plate will be a facelift and the M one wont' be. So it won't fit.

well, it will if you change, wings, lights and bonnet!

whoever told you it would fit was not being very truthful

the mounts are fine but facelifts have different wings, lights and bonnet.

The facelift bumpers have "groves" that go around the headlights, pre-facelift have a grille that goes around the lights

Was private sale, so I've lost out. But at least I can re-sell with a bit of knowledge now.

Now to find a bumper that will fit.
