already got a super s spoiler mate :p in white too, and a complete spare body kit that despite being repaired and ready to paint no one wants.... lol

post still in the buy and sell..... ungrateful k10 owners lol!
 
the new engine and gear box are now in as are 2 brand new wishbones which have vastly improved the handling, started at about 9am after some tea and bacon sarnies cracked on and had her running by 12:30 :D after topping up all the fluids replacing the wishbones and making sure everything was secure took her for a test drive and its runs like a dream now, engine is soooooo quiet and its nice to have 5 gear back for the motor way :D

suspension next when it arrives :D then i can get round to sorting out the bodywork and stripping the interiror :)
 
update;

new shocks and lowering springs fitted today, coupled with the new wishbones the handling is superb! and thats coming from an mr2 owner so i know good handling :)

also today i fitted the super s clocks they are now fully functional (thanks fordy)

whilst i had the rear wheels off i got the angle grinder out and rolled the arches properly, whoever didt it orginally cracked all the paint and rust albeit minot surface was creeping in, so i rolled the arches got my electric sander out and rub the arches back to metal, few coats of primer and some good old 531 and they look great, i need to blend the paint work once the paints hardened in a few weeks but standing next to the car youd never know so very happy with that, all thats left now is to strip the interior bare :D and paint up the bodykit as its a right mess :p

you'd never think it was the same car anymore :p

fitted super s seat belts bye bye scanky old ones!
and fixed the drivers door as it was dropping ;)

i'll leave as is for now Samo, going to replace the wheels soon enough they are all kerbed lol

Fantastic stuff

I've got to admit ...I would put pukker tyres ahead of replacing the wheels any day of the week <sod the kerbing if its the drive that you love> (assuming you would be replacing the wheels for ones of the same dimentions)......It's amaising the handling improvement that ace tyres WILL give you....IMO I would say springs and dampers is 65% and some corker tyres will give you the remaining 35%...(that's a lot)..and these such tyres will last too...OK they streach the purse strings, but every time you drive anywhere you can feel them :)

...But thats just me...hehe

On the other hand though if you get your buzz from the bling then go for the shiney new rims and enjoy every second.......It looks like you and Fordy are teeing up for a realy nice looking super S!!!!

Whats your progress predictions for JAE & are you guys going / comming?

I think its great, the way we all have our own goals and ideas...
 
handles i'll colour code with vinyl mate like i did on my last k10 looks much better, and yeah mirrors are on the to do list

totally agree mate tyres are one of the biggest handling upgrades you can do, when i replace the wheels i'll get some nice sports tyres firm the ride up even more,

strut bracing is next on my to do list gonna get her as stiff as a pornsatr on heat lol ;)
 
mat u know u need those 13's on there will look uber low lightweight wheel then put good rubber on them.

when do we start playing with the engine?

u know wot i mean ;)
 
im going to refurb the 13"s first mate, which tbh wont take long :) once the mechanical and bodywork side of things is sorted to my satisfaction i'll start playing with the power :)
 
well matt turned up in the micra tonight, and let me loose!! did a 2 mile test drive, and its lovely!! yeh its not as quick as the old k11 of mine (rapid slag), but the character hit me!! its bye bye almera, hello k10!! on the bay hunting at the moment, matt has done me a nice deal on kit, wheels, zorst etc, lol, and its going to have to have playtime!!

1.6 cherry carb?> hmmmm
 
glad you enjoyed it mate i must say i was chuffed with the response she got from everyone, now most of the mechanical stuff is done i can concentrate on the body work :) but lets face it the handling is proper sorted :p i've never had so much fun going so slow lol

ill post some new pic's later but so far this weekend i fitted the powerflow back box and stripped and cleaned the rear (there we some creepy crawler's in the back, dust mites i think! gross!!!!!)

First time i've seen this thread in a while, that K10 is gorgeous now, I still love white K10s! :love:
 
I used to love my k11, she was stupidly quick and white, as mat will testify, remember chasing the Astra GTE dude down by yours!! lol!

Yeh, ive sent Mat the task of finding me an ok k10!! lol, for cheap as chips!

I remember it, I came down in my old 1.0 K11 to collect a strut brace and some sideskirts and you left me in your dust! hehe
 
sorry!! it was acceleration Ems, lol!! Yeh, im intending on making this k10 louder, and faster than the k11 was!! Gotta beat my 15.4 1/4 mile!! Thats the target!
 
lol nah ive seen fleas when my cat had them many years back... whatever they were they arent there anymore :p bleech, cif power cream and fairy liquid = dead whatever they were lol

anyway...thats a really smart K10 you have there and at a bargain price :blush:

i would also remove / spray the blue lines on the bumpers..not sure on white but maybe another colour.....not sure lol

anyway...congrats on a really nice k10

im going to respray the bumpers any way mate as they are the worst part of the car followed by the side skirts :p doing it this week if i can :)

you spraying them urself if dont mind me asking?

is it all going white including the blue strip?

the skirts...they bonded on, or are they easy to take off? or u spraying them still attached!

again....really nice K10
 
thanks mate appricate your nice comments, ive had on skirt off already they aren't bonded on too well so come of easy , ill re-bond them once painted.

yup going to paint it myself mate i've done alot of painting before and as long as the surface is well prepped and you put on lots of thin layers slwoly and build it up theres no reason it cant look factory. espically when its a solid paint car :)

the blue strip will go compltely and i may put another colour there sometime maybe balck.... not sure yet :)

i was thinking a black stip...just to brake up the white...but its ur choice lol!
not sure what ur colour scheme is?

ive done spraying to....thin layers is the way forward lol.......

well look forward to the pics of her / him (gender of car lol) and new sparkling bumpers with some colour on the stripes!!

my first love was a girl call lisa, but the white one i had first was called that :p black one was called carolyn....

i should be the last person finding it hard to think up a girls name :p
