Driveshaft weights

Apparently my vibration at 80MPH is because of a chewed out driveshaft (counter?) weight.

Can it be replaced independently to the shaft?

its a harmonic damper aint it ? will cause balance problems if the bonding has failed

I had a vibration at 60mph even after having the wheels balanced.
Took it to a national tyre place, who re-checked the balancing, it took over 20 minutes, they found they had to re-calibrate their machine!!!
Balanced the wheel again, vibration is gone.
Worth a shot maybe ??
