driver side front breaks allways on??

hi, on shr3ks micra the front drivers side break seems to be allways on, not loads but enough for the cover to be balck rather than silver and it is also very hot.

you can hear a nasty scraping sound when he drives (when he did drive it)

will a simple replacement of the breaks sort this probelms of them being stuck??

we dont knwo what caused this but one evening a guy in the back of the car decided to pull the hand break while shr3k was driving.

and help would be nice as it needs fixing.

Maybe the caliper is sticking remove front wheel then remove pads and give caliper a squirt with wd on the piston avoid getting any wd on the disc. Then using either a big G clamp or tyre lever work the piston back into caliper. also whilst wheel is off check disc is true by spinning it renew pads. Brakes should then be ok. Pulling the handbrake on whilst driving wont cause the front brakes to be defective as its only attached to the rear system.

yea, thanks will do.

i dont know if shr3k did an emergency stop cos of it. (foot on break cos summin weird happend)

but as soon as this happend the car wasnt performing as well and shr3k said it was verring off to the left a little.

anyway will get a look at it as soon as.

any guide on how to remove the break pads???

Cheers

Though I replied to this earlier.....

Brake pads are easy to inspect, take the wheel off, undo the top bolt on the caliper and then swing the piston out of the way, then look at the pads/disk head on and you should see how it is wearing
