Clutch cable

On my way home tonight the was a snapping noise an the pedal went to the floor managed to limp the car home and the pedel end of the cable is no longer attached to the pedel can some tell me how its ment to attach to the pedal please thanks

the riveted hook pins at the end of the clutch cable tend to be a weak point especially under repeated high stress from a heavier pressure plate or sticking release bearing (too much grease & dirt on collar) or a worn sticking cable.

i strengthened mine with a nut & bolt at the gearbox end:

Thanks So all i have to do is place a nut an bolt threw the hole and hook back onto the pedal an i should be back in business also what rims are they on your micra they look sweet i would like some on mine thanks
 
if the rivet snapped off, yea you could slip a nut bolt on the hole. I took mine out to drill & tap the small hole so i can fit a larger m6 bolt (better to use a thicker bolt than a thin bolt that could snap again).

alloys are 15x6.5" Rota Grid forged ultralight weight (not cheap bare in mind sub £115 each) with Toyo T1R 195/50/15
