After seeing Arnold's project i wanted 1

I sourced a cheap motherboard off ebay for £40. Only problem with it is that the cpu is built into the motherboard and is only 500mhz

I just got my motherboard this morning and im testing it out now with some old computer bits i had laid around.

All i need for it to go in the car is a screen, 12v psu and my harddrive adaptor.

Ill post some pics up when i find some batteries

You can pretty much get everything off www.linitx.com but with a 500mhz processor, your'l struggle with even the most basic O/S or applications!

Them ready made ones off ebay are nearly 1ghz and were just over £100.

It can take a little while to load up xp but its fine. Im using winamp for music playing and it can play fine, Just need to try video's to see if they jump. The m.board came with 256mb ram and i had another stick laying round so its got the same amout of ram as my laptop

But it will do for a bit till i upgrade
