Bucket seat fitting help

Another quick question, i know when fitting bucket seats you need to get new subframes to bolt them into the car but i was looking in mine just before (k11 facelift) and there are the 4 bolts that hold the seat to the floor of the car and another 4 which appear to be holding the seat to the frame. Is it possible to remove the seat from its subframe and use the subframe on bucket seats??

Cheers guys

it can be done if the bolt holes on the seats line up alright, sometimes you can use the runners that came with the new seat.

you may need to weld a bracket or two to the original frame to bolt the bucket to, my sub frames were modified micra originals.

well i did this on saturday with some fiesta rs recaros and it wasn't too hard.

first unbolt the frame from the micra seat and remove the rails from the bucket seat and in this case once removed the actual metal frame on the bucket seat was totally flat.

just grind the welding surfaces line up and weld seat to original micra frame took about 30 mins.

I'll get some pictures up tomorrow.
