Brakes..........help needed

Can anybody help on this; I just fitted new brake pads it was runing ok for two days but now it gives a squeling sound ideas pliz.
Another problem i wanted help was when a put my gear selector to "P" and the next morning when i put it to "D" or "R" and move the car it gives a "thud" sound like something was engaged and it just disengage. pliz help it is very much appreciated.

Did you put any copper grease on the rear of the pads where they meet the calipers? That should stop the squelling noises...

With auto transmissions it is advised to give it a few brisk goes through the gearstick's range of movement to clean up the contacts every month or so, that could fix your problem, or at least lessen it.

As far as pads are concerned you have to go easy for the first hundred miles or so, may well be suffering from brake fade.......sorry for your loss.

what they said ^
and make sure you put it on the BACK!! DO NOT go anywhere near the front or the disc itself.. otherwise you will need new rotors...

That Gearbox thump could mean two things.. my first concern would be to top up the gbox oil.. there is a charge pipe with an orange dip stick... check the level... if its low... top it up a bit... drive it and see if it still thumps.. fingers crossed that should cure it... if it doesnt then... id enlist some diagnostics/specialist help.. because the autobox is the most important part, easiest to break and costly to fix.
