brake set up

Hello,

just been offered some brakes off 2 different people:

Pulsar GTiR Calipers,red stuff pads,steel braided hosing - £35 (PAID)

Tarox drilled and grooved discs - £50 (should be £160 new)

Are the Tarox discs any good?They're coming off a Pulsar,obviously i need discs to go with the other stuff.

Just need another opinion before saying yes to them

Tarox discs will be fine, anything will be in all honesty, Brembo, Black Diamond, Tarox, even OEM discs........I wouldn't rate the red-stuff pads though but that's a personal choice.

are the discs used? the caliper sits closer to the hud on a k11, so the pads won't touch the same place if they are used, and depending on how worn/corroded they are, the pads will have worn into the disc. i'd always go for new discs.

the disks have been used for about 1000 miles i believe and the pads have got 5-6mm left

Both are coming off a pulsar,if that makes any difference?
