Brake lights on all the time, what to fix it with?

So, my brake lights were always on and I had a search and found it's the rubber bit on the brake pedal that depresses the brake light switch.

Just wondering what would one use to replace the rubber bit?
At the moment I am using a bolt and 2 nuts but I'm not sure if the bolt may harm the plastic switch?

check the micro switch above the brake pedal...take it out and have a look, might just need reassembly and adjustment

Like I said, I've already fixed it but I don't know if I should just leave the bolt I'm using as a replacement or find something else...

same thing happened to me, I just used a nut and bolt with bit of grease,switch looks fine after a year with the nut and bolt fix.

Ive had 2 micras and both have had a bolt in there.. I didnt even realise there was meant to be a rubber bit. lol

Alright good. I was just concerned I might break the switch I'm not the gentlest of people on my pedals.

Nissan sell the rubber bit for pulsars, i bought one from them cost me $1.80, slight size difference but fits fine.
