Boot open switch

Hello all
First post today , hopefully someone can help with this .

I hAVE A 2003 5 DOOR K12,

My first question is does the boot have a open close switch that would light up the dah bulb .

secondly i have tested my four open close switches on the four doors and they work , but randomly the light on the dash lights up to alert me to a door open issue, it can flicker and go off or stay on until a nice bump in the road turns it off again.Can i test the initial cable to the first connector FOR PROBLEMS/BREAKAGE IN CABLE ETC or is the only way to find the lead that enters the BCM and see what happens when connected to a probe to see if the voltage drops when the door button is pressed.

my solution was to test the incoming wires off the connector for earth and positve , and i found the drivers door was the fault, there was no feed to it , i bridged off the back door connector and now works great , could look into it more but the car iS an 03 worth about £600 so why bother , the boot has a switch built into the lock
