So, recently my boot decided to open mid driving and the button seemed to be malfunctioning and after reading online there is alot of mention of water ingress going into the button. On the day I just unplugged the latch to stop it from opening randomly.
Now today i've put both a new latch and a button which has fixed two issues for me.
1. It no longer randomly opens
2. it got rid of the annoying squeaky while driving
However, since changing this it kept the door open lamp on and weirdly enough im able to use central locking while driving (and the annoying beeping sound doesnt come on) and im also able to lock the car (i have checked if all the doors are locked) and no car alarm goes off.
Any suggestions?
