ashley cat back exhaust

going to buy an exhaust system,me question is when they say cat back from which cat the manifold one ie the 1st or from the second cat in middle of car so before i buy said exhaust any chaps got one that can shed some light on it please

the janspeed manifold removes the primary cat and bolts up to the secondary cat

then the 'cat back' janspeed exhuast system bolts up all the way through

i have janspeed manifold and full system,very good although its mild steel so will one day rot!?:down:

So really whats the difference between the cat back system (without manifold)
against just the back box if the original cats are still there?]

just noise if you get the back box mate but if you are gong for best gains then i would say do the full system as with just the cat back and bk box you wont find much differance in performance but a lil bit noiser the most power comes from the manifold as the first cat is very restrictive i have the janspeed mani janspeed sports cat a custom 2.5inch stainless steel cat back to back box mate and i could tell the engine didnt feel as restricted it could breath a lot better
