its all about looks afaik - its a major part of the VIP styling scene in japan, but could possibly be to do with fitting the top edge of massivly wide wheels inside the bodywork to make them road legal??

That makes sense, but you'd go through tyres (well one edge anyway)

and having the rear wheels on a rear drive car on negative camber makes its break traction easier... :S

Those Suzuki Alto Works are mental! Aren't they 660cc turbocharged or something like that? Bet that feels scary in something with a high centre of gravity of that!

Yeah was a 658cc turbocharged engine and the older "works" had a 543cc turbocharged engine

first 0 - 100k is a alto works with some tuning.

Stick in a turbo'd 600cc bike engine and it'd be nice and quick. 19,500 rpm redline

There's kits available to do it as well, probably end up costing 25k for a rwd setup

You can get an Atom 160 for the 25k mark too.
