hi guys ive noticed that when i drive my k11 1.0l that when i change gear there is like a air sort of sound that i can hear it changes up and down ok but the only thing thats worrying me is that sound maybe its to do with transmission fluid they do have a seperate transmission resevior from the brake and clutch resevior dont they coz i want it sorted

any feedback or suggestions are greatly welcomed

could there be an air leak?

gearbox oil is contained in the box, no reservoir

brake has it's own reservoir

clutch is cable

does it make sound up & down the revs in any gear

or is it only when you touch the clutch?

does it whine as speed rises?

basically its when i slip into gears it sort of sounds like a very very low pitch dump valve sort of sound but i can hear it my dads mate has said about it when he was in it he said it could be the gearbox

mine does this as does my mates but only when we totaly hooof the car through 1st and 2nd and the odd time 3rd (giveing a dump valve sound, squeek).

i think its just the air passing through the filter or the TB at speed when cangeing gear.

My k11 did that, you can barely hear it with standard air intake on but with an induction kit it actually sounded like a bov lol. I presume its air flowing around the butterfly valve in the tb.
