i was wondering wot Engine mods you'll be doing and wot times are you aiming FOR?

write the model... k10/k11 or k12
and wot times you've got b4(if so)
and wot times you aiming at now?


mine was....

k10 Turbo
ran a 16.6 at POD in 2004 with a cracked head and a
blown Turbo:eek:

and my mods now will be
Full exhaust system
Intercooler
gonna run 12PSI of boost

i'm aiming for sub 14secs this year:)

will be at alot of events this year..
York and POD:devil:

me and chie are off to york for his 22nd, anyone wanting to join us is very welcome. This will be mid april.
 
Ran 18.1 in my old 1.2 LS, this year i'm aiming for a 17 second quarter in my 1.2 super s.

which with mods planned should be acheiveable.
 
well wot mods are u looking into?
atleast sum1 is planning to beat thier personal best:)

if you want more people interested in the micra then the only way is to have a fast 1,a 1/4 mile of 15 sec and under will interest people more to the little nissan.

obviously this my opinion but i think it is a true 1 and therefore we need some more performance micra rather than good looking 1's with not enuff power!

i'm comparing my 2.0 with other our rival 2.0's...

my 2.0 k11 did a 15.3 @ york and the car was stock engine wise:)
there were many stock 172 clios there getting low 15's,
there was a few 2.0 corsas getting mid 15s
but look at the difference in power and weight,
micra has advantage on weight and clio has the power and the corsa is crap overall lol.

i know this the 2.0 engine
but i'm saying anything is achievable even from the 1.0l whether its Turbo'd or Supercharged or NOS'd

i know i 1.4 civic that runs it in 16's with nos and his very big wheels on,
i also know alot of "overall crap" 2.0litre corsas/novas that wuld probly beat yours hands down,oh and a astra redtop that wuld deffinatly be doin sub 15's
 
I don't really know what time i need to get but i have been challenged by a friend with a 1.2 nova, high millage 1.0 K10 vs 45bhp 1.2 Nova could be a close thing :D

cossvaux are based in sheffield and theres about 4 or 5 of them in my area and these really do leave scoobys standing!my m8 is having his 2.0 conversion there at the moment,,
 
respect to the civic:)

the overall craps were modified, they had filters, zorst, and manifold etc
and mine was completely STOCK

I'm not talking about a 2.0 Turbo lol

u just don't understand power to weight do u?
 
im not talkin turbos,,2.0 redtop with slight tuning is very very quik in a corsa/nova
and if you go stupid and go for turbo and quaife gear box n componants n stuff btw this guys dad works as touring car mechanic its only 250bhp but moves like lighting ,spose its all down to the setup,,i dont know exact times but my m8s friend has a brand new scooby wrx/sti n this tubo redtop leaves it dead and the scooby was at the pod on the 19th of this month doin 13.9 in wet
 
nationally there are many garages that do this conversion day-to-day
u know and i know , you can get off the shelf conversion kits for the corsa/nova and others

well u tell me how many MICRAS do u know of that have a 2.0 engine in them in the UK?

my micra wasn't 100% perfect
and a few from here know of this..

but all i'm saying its achievable

yes set-up is important for good 1/4 mile times

btw my car was not setup when i did 15.3 so considering this it was a good base to improve on :)
 
i drive a 1.3 super s k11

and its staying a 1.3! most peolpe buy cars just to put a bigger engine in them,,but some buy a car and keep it as it is ,,ide rather tune my 1.3 to its highest potential and thats alot ithink for a 1.3
and turn round at the end of the day and say yes it is still a 1.3,and i think it would easily beat most cars that are in its group as the are already modifide in the factory and sold as sporty cars so no room for improvement,swift,corsa,vtr,ect...but the micra is sold and recocnised as a granny car which makes it better wen the micra wins every time :)

but i got alot of money to spend and work to do yet ,,:(

u trying to say that a skyline owner will drop a bigger engine in his already powerful rb26DETT? i don't think so, I wouldn't.

i don't know of many people who drop bigger engine in their cars.lol
maybe one or 2 but not MOST (i wanna know more about these MOST people that u know of?)

i know the Micra was always small engined and underpowered compared to its rivals(not inc the ST)
so ofcourse dropping a bigger lump in one is good.

clios and novas/corsas had bigger engine from factory.
its comparison ofcourse, sum people may not be able to afford bigger faster cars and sum just like the micra and want to make it fast by dropping a bigger lump.

are u just mouth or u actually gonna make it quick and try to kick your rivals in thier big engines?

quite frankily i think i was the first 1 that got of my backside and dropped a bigger engine in my micra from this club:)

i totally hear what your saying tho umar, im planning for a 16 dead by summer. that is my aim and then nxt summer i want 14 dead.

i dnt think i will be doing a 1/4 this year going to concentrate on getting car together, if all goes to plan work wise im gonna aim for a v.light 2.0t ready for nxt year :D
and if it doesnt work out im jus gonna have a quick sr ;)
 
i think the tuning potential of a k11 super s is far greater than any other car in its group

e,i,,put a full exhaust system onto my car and induction kit it will c alot more power than a swift gti if the same mods are done ..i also think if everything is done rite you could double the power of a 1.3 k11 ,,cant c a vtr doin this,, after all puuting more backpressure into the vtr made MORE power

at the end of the day i bought a micra cos i wanted a micra ,and as soon as the engine is changed its no longer a micra,,

if you want powere to w8 ratio y choose a micra wen theres a mini shell to use

and bout the skyline,,i am talkin for 1/4 mile runs most people put bigger engines in a small car ,,no need in a skyline
 
i don't like the Mini simple as
the micra is more practical and reliable and lightweight compared to its rivals i think.
there are more minis out there converted than micra's.

why isn't it a micra if u change the engine?

that the 2.0 wasn't a micra but a primera?
or my k10T isn't a micra but a cherry?
where does it state this?

so why is it a 2.0 corsa is still a corsa and not a cav or calibra?
 
Rik a friend of mine had a VTR on throttle bodies pushing 155bhp with a standard head and just a de cat pipe and i dont know any other naturaly aspirated k11 which is like that?. I'm just gonna get a performance camshaft for my k10 and I wanna lighten the flywheel to get a sub 18 sec quarter. I would 2.0 16v my k10 super s but i've got a uno turbo which is gonna run 18PSI of boost when its put back together so the micra will be sold cause to me my mk 1 uno turbo is a far better and faster car.
 
mark it'll be sad really for u to sell the micra but then again i know where your coming from by tuning the uno, as it has more potential:)

btw if and when u sell the micra
give me a shout, i'll take it off ya:)

i had mini, tbh im not to keen on the look and i cant fit in it very easily :(
prefer a micra as tis a bit different :)
 
if possible umar could you give me a couple of weeks notice as to when your going up. Myself and chie will try to attend (if hes up for it) and any other members wishing to tag along are also more then welcome.
