16v how many miles

in general how many miles can you get out of a standard k11 before engine replacing or rebuilding?
i wonder who has the highest mileage?
mine has 96k

You have a lot more left from that engine if you look after it.

I wouldn't worry about the engine, its the rust that kills them mate.

mate of mine had a 1.0l with 160k miles on it, was still goin strong when he sold it

I'm at 85k in a 1998 car.

I think these engines go on 'forever', it's rust everywhere that gets em. Always getting welding done at MOT time!

Ive loads to go.........my 99 k11 had 17k on it and only has 20k miles on it now

148k I was on in a 1.3 Super S, and I hit the rev limiter in the thing everyday. Give the engine as much abuse as possible, it just won't give in.
