Pink march cab lol

My hubby spent all Monday afternoon phoning around for this March alternator. Nissan could supply one at £438+VAT!!! (obviously we didn't go down that route!!) As you said...getting parts for these babies is not easy or cheap!!

Saw the clear lights on Ebay...they look FAB but the seller mentioned a £50 reserve on them so I'm not jumping in yet!!

This is my 3rd pink car! Tried to reply on another pink car post on here the other day including some pics but it didn't go through for some reason.

Well kudos to him, i think he's done a fine job! Nissan do seem rip-off merchants when it comes to these cars. They punish us for loving their individual beauties!

I think £50 is about the going rate for them, but hang around and keep looking, I'm sure you're bound to stumble on some sooner or later!

I loved the MX5 too but LOVE my cute March more!!!

The wheels are Fox Racing....I bought mine for £50 and got them refurbed for free.

Good to know! They are such rewarding cars - you will adore it even more after a couple more weeks of ownership lol

I definitely think I have the same wheels as that MX5...

i am glad you love the march more please come to the JAE show we can kit out your car with all the little fixes and make it great sort out that fog light as long as its not silver underneth lol

Agreed, you gotta come to JAE, Pinky. Not only will there be 3 March Cabriolets at the front of the stand (probably the first time ever), there will be a pink one bang up in front with them! :grinning:

Where is the JAE show held?

It was the same colour as yours. Can only tell by looking in the boot. Also has the red key....very cute!!

it really is worth it because it is the best show in the year, and plenty of friendly people, all interested in the same thing, and there is so much to do other than just cars, its going to be a good one i can tell

The rollover bar is black.

Alternator arrived and was the correct one, so now all working again (whoop whoop) . There was a burnt out wire from wiring loom to battery lead (runs all lights, dash etc). Hubby has replaced it temporarily as Nissan won't sell it without the whole wiring loom
Do you know where I can get one?

Also do you know if there is a cabin filter fitted in yours? One came in our service kit but we're not sure where it goes.

hmm burnt out wire from the battery, i think that is a large white wire with a red stripe, has a grey plug at either end, one goes into the battery terminal, and the other into the back of the fuse box?

first of all you need to work out why it burnt out, but that is not really a problem as it was probably pinched and it grounded out. if it is the same as the uk ones then yea i have a few, i have been rebuilding some looms so i should have one spare, but it depends if it is the same, again if you can get some photos up that would be great, and if you could make it to JAE i can fit it too

i have not looked for the cabin filter, but i think you have to drop out the motor which is on the passenger side in the foot well, i think it drops out and then up in there is where the air is ducted from outside the car.

does sound like you have had a few random issues with this car, can you get any photos of the engine bay?

i love the cabriolet side panels! my one blew off on the motorway, nissan want £270 for a new one :C but i have a backup plan

yea if you can get a pic i am sure i will be able to help you

yep those are identical lights, the ones on ebay i modded with bulb holders from a bluebird, they are very well made if i do say so myself lol

oh and if you do get the lights let me know, there are some tips on fitting them which will really help

nex the clear rear lights should be a straight swap should they not? as the clears are made for the march bulb holders not the micras? or are the cab bulb holders diffrent? :S

btw the clear rear lights are discontinued so are quite looked after, i sold mine for £70 paid £100 for them new!

the cabriolets have the march bulb holders, but the clear lights have already been modded so now that march holders wont fit which is a pain.

there are still some places on the net you can buy them new, i did get some brand new ones never opened quite recently from an ebay shop

Hello Pinky and the others !
I'm the new owner of the pink march cab since july 2013, I'm french and sorry for my English.
everything goes well and I take great care of her !
She had a new paint (still pink of course), new headlight, new wheels paint, a -40mm lowering, new side "march cab" stickers and a E85 ethanol conversion (0.9€/liter).
She will also have a manual conversion this year...
I will return in UK this spring for some meetings... see ya !
