y reg micra gearbox clutch lever problem

as above

fitting new engine in mates micra and went to put gearbox back on, out of car ,got it all bolted up and noticed clutch arm on box was locked ,so took it off and noticed id knocked it off the pivot pins.

put it all back on and was still jammed.
even tried it on old engine too see if i was missing summit or flywheel or pressure plate was different but it locked up on that too and they are identical engines and pressure plates

i dont get it
any one get what im on about???

it sounds like you dont have the thrust bearing fitted onto the fork correctly matt

it all works when its off thou??
iv clicked the spring type clips over the pins on the y shaped arm that goes round the bearing and it moves freely but gets locked up as soon as i fit it

Could you get some pics up of gearbox and engine? Then someone might be able to see something a miss. If you can't get it sorted tomorrow
